News of the World - Sergent Bob Dear of London's Campden Police said "We are buying 40,000 SPIKEY's for our borough and will be handing them out to people queueing for clubs and bars. Daily Telegraph - One in three women who regularly go to bars know someone who has been spiked, or have had their own drinks tampered with.
Surrey Advertiser - The Drink Nightclub in Guildford has been using the SPIKEY since September. Michel Harper the club's proprieter said "I hope that the SPIKEY will be taken up not just by ourselves but by the industry at large. It works on a very simple principle, but is very effective.
